The site is in upmarket residential locality in Pune.

The functional home with a rustic look, connected open spaces and low maintenance. A simple design, with sizeable open spaces like sit outs and verandah’s, large windows for light and ventilation and use natural materials in their true form rather than to resort to using high end materials.

 

With a dense urban fabric of development around with no possible views to the house, this project posed a challenge of being interesting in itself. It had to be largely inward in the sense of privacy but also needed to connect to the language of the surroundings and had to be aesthetic externally.
